As with the last two seasons, Champions Leeds Rhinos will begin the defence of their title a week earlier than the rest when they face the newly branded Crusaders RL, to free up the weekend when they face Australian Champions Melbourne Storm on February 28th.
Super League Format
14 teams will compete in 27 weekly rounds (home and away v each club plus one 'on the road' fixture in Edinburgh) and the top eight sides will head into the playoffs to determine the Super League Champions. The Rhinos have won the Grand Final three years in a row.
Super League Opening Round
The first official round of fixtures takes place on the weekend of February 5th/6th/7th and will see Brian Noble return to Wigan with his new club The Crusaders. Noble will not be the only returnee though as Sean Long returns to Knowsley Road (where he won four Super League titles) with new club Hull FC. The opening round of Super League looks like this:

Magic Weekend
The draw for the 2010 Magic Weekend at Murrayfield in Edinburgh was held earlier on Sky Sports News. The clubs were divided into two groups dependant upon their 2009 league finish and were drawn against other teams in their group. The draw is as follows:

The exact kick off times of the matches is yet to be confirmed, but as in 2009 three matches will take place on Saturday May 1st and four on Sunday May 2nd.
